The Hurdle Run can be designed for any length, and placing it in a mud pit makes it especially fun and challenging. A little too high to step over, means that users need to find other ways to scramble over the top, such as leaping over sideways, boosting up on their hands to sit on the bar so they can swivel over-the-top, and drop down the other side, sometimes vaulting head first, and so on. You never know what people are going to do in the heat of the moment :-)
By increasing the spacing on the hurdles, runners might be able to work in a couple of running steps that allow them to leap over the top, but that would be pretty challenging (and we think impossible) if there were mud on the ground.
Because these are wide, several people can be simultaneously competing side-by-side.
This design is completely flexible in a number of ways, from increasing the distance between the hurdles, to making the run wider or narrower, to raising or lowering the height of the hurdles. Pricing is for 12’ wide x 21’ long, 32” high hurdles @ 36” o.c.. That’s 8 - 32” hurdles 36” apart tied together. “A frame” supports for above ground installation.
Please let us know the age group you have in mind, and we will design this Hurdle Run accordingly. Comes with complete installation instructions.
For schools and public playgrounds, a fall zone would be required.
